2 trains collide in Egypt, killing at least 28

Two trains have collided head-on in Alexandria, Egypt, killing at least 28people and injuring 80, according to officials and the state-run news agency MENA.

The head of the ambulance services in the city's western sector, Dr. Mohamed Abu Homs, says the collision took place in the western suburb of Khorshid.

There was no immediate information on what had caused the collision.

One of the trains was travelling from Cairo, the other from Port Said, according to local media.
