U.S. House transportation panel chair says he will not run for re-election: Washington Examiner

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican Representative Bill Shuster, the chairman of the Transportation Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, will not run for re-election in November, the Washington Examiner reported on Tuesday.

Shuster, who has served in Congress since 2001, told the news website he would be in a better position to work in a bipartisan fashion on an infrastructure bill this year if he did not have to worry about a re-election bid.
